The
Isle of Wight will be hosting its tenth annual Walking Festival in 2008. You
are invited to discover the stunning views, spectacular scenery,
tranquillity and fresh air whilst taking part in the UK's largest walking
festival with an expected 20,000 participants.
Over 200 walks during the two week festival, to include; ghost walks, Royal
Garden tours, coastal walks, dinosaur walks, historic walks, nature walks,
healthy walks, children’s walks, twilight walks, tea party walks, pub walks,
singing walks, and poetry walks.
For the romantic at heart there will be the popular “Speed Dating” walks,
for those looking for a bit of company when walking! (The 2006 event
produced two weddings so it works!)
Join in with Wightlink as the Island celebrates its
reputation as one of the best destinations in the UK for walking. For full details visit
