A James Braid course, opened in 1900, Shanklin and Sandown Golf Club is the only County Championship golf course on the Isle of Wight and is a magnet for golfers of all abilities across southern England.
It combines a beautiful heathland setting with fantastic views of the surrounding chalk downs. The course is just over 6,000 yards long with tight, tree-lined fairways and protected greens and provides a challenging round for high and low handicap players alike.
The Shanklin & Sandown course has been rated seventh in Hampshire by the Top 100 Golf Courses in the World. Visiting players are made very welcome in the modern clubhouse and well-stocked pro shop, and expert tuition is available from the Resident PGA Professional.
