Sweet music from local singers and musicians will get Wightlink customers in the mood for Christmas as they cross the Solent in the run-up to the holidays. Ferries and ports will ring to the sounds of carols and seasonal music.
The Wight Notes Choir from Fusion Arts Academy got the party started with traditional carols and songs including Sister Act hits on the Portsmouth-Fishbourne ferry St Clare, then the youngsters from Shalfleet Primary sang their hearts out at Wightlink’s Yarmouth terminal.
Wightlink Island Ports Manager Martin Gulliver says: “Christmas is always special on the ferries as people travel to visit loved ones, buy presents, go to pantomimes or maybe just enjoy a break on the other side of the Solent. Music makes everyone smile at this busy time of year.”
