Discounted Fares Scheme - Housing Benefit or Council Tax support application

Wightlink’s Discounted Fares Scheme is available to eligible IOW Residents in receipt of specific benefits. If you are receiving eligible benefits through the Isle of Wight Council, they must verify your application first.

Please complete the form below. Once completed, an automated verification email which will be sent to the IOW Council to assess your eligibility. Once validated by the council, you will then receive a welcome email from us which includes terms and conditions and instructions.

If approved the scheme will be added to your existing Wightlink Customer ID account – to find your ID, simply log in to your account. If you don’t already have an account with us, you’ll need to register before applying below.

The discount will then be applied automatically each time you book using your customer ID online or over the phone. An electronic ticket is generated with each booking which must be shown at the port on departure.

The Discounted Fares Scheme cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer, promotion or Tesco Clubcard Reward Partner Codes.

Please give up to 28 days for the application to be approved by the IOW Council and completed by Wightlink.

All Discounted Fares Scheme approvals are valid for 12 months. You will need to reapply to continue being able to book using this scheme. An email reminder will be sent a month before your expiry date.

By applying to join the scheme, you are enabling Wightlink to process your application and pass your details to the Isle of Wight Council so they can verify on a periodic basis that you are receiving the benefit(s) you’ve indicated. By submitting the application you agree to Wightlink storing, using and passing on your details to the Isle of Wight Council for the reasons stated. The Isle of Wight Council will retain this information in line with their retention policy. The information provided here will be processed in accordance with Wightlink’s Privacy Policy.
