Wightlink has teamed up with ecologists and engineers at Bournemouth University to take part in a European Union-funded €4.6million project to look at ways to protect the marine environment on both sides of the Channel.
The Isle of Wight Youth Trust has launched a brand new Island Schools’ Mental Health Charter. Wightlink has been a long-standing supporter of the Isle of Wight Youth Trust for many years and over the last year that support has included the sponsorship of the Youth Trust’s Mental Health Taskforce.
As Portsmouth gets ready to host the UK’s national commemoration of D-Day tomorrow (Wednesday 5 June), Wightlink will be paying tribute to the soldiers who fought their way onto the beaches of Normandy - and everyone who was involved in the Allies’ invasion of France in 1944.
